Matter tracking
Every matter has its own record - a matter type, an owning contact, a responsible user, and a status running from open to closed. Nothing about a matter's progress lives in someone's inbox or a shared spreadsheet.
Time recording and billing
Log time directly against a matter using the same Time Recording module the rest of the platform uses, then pull unbilled entries straight into an invoice from Billing - see those docs for the full flow.
Client trust accounting
Client money is held in its own segregated ledger (Client Money Accounts and Transactions), kept properly apart from the practice's own funds - the same client-money pattern the Finance module uses for a different regulator, applied to a solicitor's trust-account obligations.
